Life has been stressful over the past few months, moving house and illness have all taken there toll. Having my ducks all in a row was a statement someone once said to me. This was so very true, I could handle life when all my ducks were in a row, but all my ducks have grow up and have ducklings off there own, so why all the stress ?
Watching a program on television about crazy things animals do, I was amazed at one small duckling trying with all his might to get up a kerb to catch up with its mother and the other ducklings.
The mother duck continued to walk followed by all the rest of her brood; they all made it accept for this little one. Everyone was laughing. He tried and tried to jump up this one kerb. After a number of attempts he finally did it and waddled off to catch the others. It was a funny scene to us, but obliviously not to him, he was struggling.
Things might look bad, and things might go wrong, whether it’s moving house, bereavement, illness it’s a stressful time. The little duckling had a mission. He kept his eye on the one that was leading, his mother. That’s what we need to do, to keep focused and for a Christian that could only be Jesus. Focus on the one who leads us.
Keep waddling; God is on your side.
