Looking Back

While we were driving through wonderful scenery in the highlands of Scotland, my husband asked me to take a photograph of what was in front of us, one awesome sunset over the mountains.
There was no time to stop there was traffic behind us, and if  we could I didn’t relish the thought of being bitten by the Scottish midges.
I reached for the camera and took a few shots through the windscreen, trying to find more I glanced back through the wing mirror, but it was too late, it was gone, gone behind the mountain.
Some people live there lives looking through their wing mirrors. Always living in the past never moving on. It doesn't matter where we've come from our where we have been or what we have done, Jesus died to give us eternal life. When we come to Him, and repent of our past, He cleanses us and gives us a new life in Him.
The road ahead is for us to travel, we are to use the whole windscreen, and if we should glance through the wing mirror, rejoice its gone, its past.
Jesus said “ no one who has put his hand to the plow and looks back to things behind is fit for the kingdom”
( Luke 9v62 )
